Josh Hejl |
Born and raised in the “last frontier” that is Alaska, Josh Hejl developed an affinity for the outdoors at a young age. Shortly after high school he headed to Reno, Nevada to attend the University of Nevada, where he continued pursuing outdoor activities as well as scholastic endeavors. In 2007 Josh graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. He also studied abroad in Costa Rica and attained a minor in the Spanish language. He recently traveled through Argentina, Chile, Peru and Bolivia for 70 days making photographs and practicing his language skills. Josh’s degree in journalism gives his photography a unique perspective as he is always looking for the peak action. Josh enjoys, and pursues many types of photography. Some of his work can be found at www.minaretphoto.com as well as www.nevadasportphoto.com . In the summer you can find Josh cruising around Reno on his 1988 motorcycle, heading to the mountains in the winter in his 1986 Subaru with flaking grey paint and a crooked bumper, or maybe you’ll see him jumping off cliffs in the rose backcountry, or perhaps riding his Kermit green mountain bike on one of Peavine mountains many single-track trails. Hopefully when you see him he has a big smile on his face and so do you. |
